"Burek" - Breakfast in Style

Mornings in Macedonia usually start with breakfast on work or breakfast with the family. However, there's one thing we've all tried for breakfast - burek (cheese pie). This famous triangle-shaped pitas can be found in every "Buregdzilnica" ( which is a word for place where burek is sold). On every corner is one of this stores that sell different types of burek pita like meat pie, the already mentioned cheese pie, nowadays famous pizza  burek, spinach pie, kulen burek etc. The price varies by the size, if you order 1/4 it is round
40 Denar ( 1 USD), for 1/8 is 25 Denar (0.50 USD) per slice.
What goes better with a slice of burek than a glass of cold yogurt?

When it rains,it's time for Hot Chocolate "Njami" @ Arabesque Lounge Bar

When it rains it pours...this morning I've read this quote on twitter and it inspired me to write this blog about "what to do when in rains in Skopje". First of all, you should take a cab! No rain is excuse for a bad hair day! Luckily, like on the streets in NYC, locals are selling umbrellas on the street for the price of 50-100 denar (1.5 EUR or 2 USD). Then you have two choices, whether you want to go shopping ( we suggest - Skopje City Mall http://skopjecitymall.mk/skopje-city-mall-mk , or if your choice is coffee with friends we suggest Arabesque Lounge Bar which is our hot spot for urban atmosphere, food and decor. Black velvet chairs and orange chandeliers make a deluxe atmosphere. Probably this is the best place for smokers. If you didn't know the law in Macedonia prohibits smoking inside so this restaurant has a stunning terrace which is warm and safe when it rains all year round.

The authors of Skopje in Style recommend:
Hot Chocolate "Njami" - real Barista specialty!

Magnus Fitness - Keep moving forward!

They say excuses are useless and results are priceless. There is no woman on the world that doesn't want to look healthy and attractive. When we were young girls our parents took us on ballet, tennis or other type of physical activity for kids, not only for our health but also to help us socialize with other children at our age. Then there comes the teenage phase, for some positive often negative. In this phase we start not liking our body, the way we look, we often compare our self with models and we are becoming frustrated. That lead us to unhealthy diets and worthless treatments. Even the prom night itself is so stressful for a young girl! This is the reason why we are dedicating this post to one of the best fitness clubs in Skopje, which is made ONLY FOR WOMEN, and which offers a wide diversity of workouts that will help shape up your body.
Compared to NY Sports Clubs and 24 Hours Fitness of Derick Jeter, I can say that Magnus Fitness Center http://www.magnus.com.mk/ is probably the only fitness club in Skopje that offers same value in terms of gym quality and staff knowledge. Here you can practice aerobic, kick box, pilates, aero-fit etc.The fitness center has steam room and tanning studio. It offers nutrition counseling. What we all need is motivation. I love going in this club cause the trainers are very motivating and they never give up on you.

There are 1.440 minutes in a day. Use 20 of them to workout! Change your mind - Change your body!
